Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") set out the agreement between you and NoCostWebsites ("we", "us") when you apply for or use our services. By submitting an application or using our services you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use our services.
2. What we provide
- We design and build a website for your business at no upfront cost, subject to your application being accepted.
- Ongoing hosting is charged at £22.50 per month and covers hosting, an SSL certificate, security and software maintenance. Content changes after launch are not included and are chargeable separately — we will quote before carrying out any work.
- Linking your own domain name to your website is included. Buying and renewing the domain itself remains your responsibility.
3. Applications
Every application is reviewed by us and we may accept or decline any application at our discretion. When we accept your application and you complete onboarding, you authorise us to begin work on your website, and your free trial starts at that point.
4. Your 10-day free trial
- The trial runs for 10 calendar days and begins when you complete onboarding — not when your website is approved or goes live.
- During the trial we design and build your website, and you can ask for reasonable changes.
- You can cancel at any point during the trial and pay nothing.
- If you haven't cancelled by the end of the trial, your paid monthly subscription starts automatically.
5. Payments and billing
- Once the trial ends, hosting is charged at £22.50 per month, billed monthly in advance.
- There is no minimum contract period.
- If you don't cancel during the trial, the first payment will be collected automatically when the trial ends.
6. Refunds
- Payments collected after the free trial are non-refundable.
- We don't issue refunds where a subscriber forgot to cancel during the trial, changed their mind after the trial, stopped using the website, or had a change in business circumstances.
7. Reviewing and approving your website
- It's your responsibility to review your website during the trial period.
- You can request reasonable amendments while the site is in development.
- By approving the website, or by continuing your subscription past the trial, you accept the website as delivered.
8. Domain names
- You are responsible for buying, renewing and looking after your own domain name.
- We aren't responsible for problems caused by domain expiry, loss of a domain, or issues with third-party registrars.
9. Cancelling and ending the service
- You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing hello@nocostwebsites.co.uk.
- When you cancel, your website will be taken offline at the end of your current billing period.
- We may permanently delete website data 30 days after cancellation.
- No refunds are given on cancellation.
- We may suspend or end the service if you break these Terms, don't pay, or misuse the service.
10. Your responsibilities
- You'll give us accurate and complete information.
- You'll keep any account credentials confidential.
- You confirm that any content you give us is lawful and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
- You won't use our services for anything illegal or unauthorised.
11. Limits on our liability
- We aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost data, revenue, profit or business opportunities.
- Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before any claim.
- We aren't responsible for problems caused by third-party providers or events beyond our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
12. Data protection
- We handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and applicable data protection law. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- You confirm that any data you supply to us complies with legal requirements.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover us against any claims, damages, losses or costs that arise from your use of the services, content you supply, or a breach of these Terms by you.
14. Events outside our control
We aren't liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including technical failures, natural disasters, or outages at third-party services.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page, and continuing to use the services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
