Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
NoCostWebsites ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What we collect
- Application details — your name, email address, phone number, business name and the information you provide in our onboarding form.
- Billing details — payment information needed to run your subscription (processed securely by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers).
- Website content — text, images and other materials you supply for your website.
- Usage data — basic technical information such as IP address and browser type when you visit this site.
2. Why we use it
- To review your application and provide our services (performance of a contract).
- To take payment for your subscription (performance of a contract).
- To respond to enquiries and provide support (legitimate interests).
- To meet legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with providers we need to deliver the service — such as our hosting provider, email provider and payment processor — and only to the extent required. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
4. How long we keep it
- Application data: up to 12 months if your application doesn't proceed.
- Customer data: for the duration of your subscription, then as required for legal and accounting purposes (typically 6 years for financial records).
- Website data: deleted 30 days after cancellation, as set out in our Terms.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and request a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@nocostwebsites.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
6. Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies needed for it to function. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we'll ask for your consent first and update this policy.
